Background of HBL PSL Live 11 2026
The PSL Live is a professional T20 cricket tournament, which is organized by the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board). Its origins are tied to the global rise of T20 cricket, which changed the sport after its international introduction in 2005. The main cause of the popularity of this format is the creation of franchise-based leagues in the world. It is inspired by the early competitions’ success, such as the England T20 tournament and the Indian Premier League, which was launched in 2008 with the approval ofthe ICC.
In 2015, following the trend, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced the Pakistan Super League. Its first season was held in the UAE in February 2016. The PSL plays a very important role in bringing back international cricket to the country by attracting the best international players. It also brings the matches back to the Pakistani places. The two Pakistani captains were selected as the brand ambassadors to represent the league.
This league selected five teams to represent major cities, and the sixth team was added in 2018. To maintain a competitive balance, it takes a player draft system instead of auctions. In December 2015, the PCB sold all the commercial rights for 93 million USD to the original franchise.
The 2026 Auction for two New Teams
The original franchise deals were terminated after the tenth season ended in 2025. The PCB contracted Ernst and Young to review the worth of the league and present a new model of finances in 2026-2035. Five franchises have renewed their contracts, but the owner of Multan Sultans, Ali Tareen, refused to renew the contract, and the franchise returned to the PCB in 2026. In order to increase the number of competitors, the PCB voted to auction off two new teams on 8 January 2026. Hyderabad and Sialkot were the seventh and eighth franchises, which were bought by FKS Group and OZ Developers, and this became a new era of HBL PSL 11 with eight teams.
PSL 11 2026 Fixtures
According to the latest updates of PSL, the fixture of HBL PSL 11 2026 was announced by the PCB on February 28, 2026. PSL Live 2026 will start on 11th April 2026 at Rawalpindi, i with defending Champions Islamabad United playing Lahore Qalandars after the opening ceremony of this event. The final of the event begins on 18th May 2026 in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The exhibition match will be played at Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar, on 8th April 2026. HBL PSL consists of 34 matches that will be played in 38 days. In all 34 matches, 3 matches will be Day-Games. This will result in 3 doubleheaders in the PSL 11 and the remaining matches, which will be at night. The new season of HBL PSL 2026 will start in April 2026, and before this, the teams will have to join 4 days of official training.

PSL 11 2026 Teams
The PSL management wanted to add more teams to the HBL PSL 11th season 2026. The addition of the 7th and 8th teams for this event is in process, and it will be done soon. PSL Live 2026 Prize Money
The Pakistan Cricket Board declared the huge prize money that will be won by the HBL PSL 11 2026 winner.
